Cookie policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use comparable technologies such as pixels and local storage, and in this policy “cookies” covers all of them. My Store uses them to keep the store working, to understand how it is used, and to measure advertising.
Our use of cookies is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations; the personal data they generate is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
The categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Needed for the store to function — holding your shopping bag, keeping you signed in, securing checkout and remembering your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off, and no consent is required for them.
- Analytics. Tell us which pages and products are viewed, and where visitors leave, so we can improve the store. Used only with your consent.
- Advertising. Measure whether our advertising works and let us reach people with relevant products. Used only with your consent.
Cookies set on this store
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| amboras_consent | Records your cookie choice so it can be applied on later visits. | Strictly necessary | 1 year |
| medusa_cart_id | Remembers the contents of your shopping bag between pages. | Strictly necessary | Until the bag is cleared |
| Session and security cookies | Keep you signed in to your account, protect checkout and guard against fraudulent requests. | Strictly necessary | Session to 1 year |
| Stripe (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) | Set by our payment provider to process payment and detect fraud at checkout. | Strictly necessary | Session to 1 year |
| Store analytics | Counts page views and sessions so we can see which pieces and pages are of interest. Not used to identify you by name. | Analytics | Session to 2 years |
| Meta pixel (_fbp, _fbc) | Measures the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and attributes purchases to it. | Advertising | Up to 90 days |
Cookie names used by third parties can change when those providers update their technology. We review this table regularly, and the categories above describe the purposes we permit in every case.
Third parties who set cookies here
Our payment provider sets cookies at checkout so that payments can be taken and fraud detected. Our analytics provider sets cookies to measure traffic. Meta Platforms sets cookies through its pixel to measure and target advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Each of these organisations uses the data it collects in accordance with its own privacy notice.
Your choice, and how to change it
Strictly necessary cookies are always active. Analytics and advertising cookies are used on the basis of consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time — withdrawing it is as easy as giving it, and does not affect anything done before you withdrew.
Arriving from our other site
If you reach this checkout from our main site, the cookie choice you made there is carried across with you, so you are not asked the same question twice. To change that choice, update it where you first gave it, use your browser controls below, or email us at [contact email address] and we will action it for you.
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and most let you do so per site. Look under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the shopping bag and checkout from working.
You can also opt out of personalised advertising in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, and through the industry tools at youronlinechoices.com.
Questions and changes
Ask us anything about this policy at [contact email address]. We update it whenever the cookies we use change, and the date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
